John de Kadt

John de Kadt is a perfessional percussionist, poet, and licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. He has studied with percussion masters throughout the world and has played ethnic hand percussive instruments for 30 years. He’s performed with, Glen Velez, Eugene Friesen, Robert Bly, Baba Olatunji, Colman Barks, Jai Uttal, Subash Chandran, and many others. John has played on numerous recordings and has released three CD’s: This Rhythm Is Not Mine, Rhythms of the Infinite, and One River co-created with Benjy Wertheimer.

He has performed live nationally on NBC and PBS and he is a founding member of Sita and The Hanumen and offers concerts and workshops internationally for festivals, retreats, schools, and corporations. He is appreciated for his charisma, humor, percussion talent, and poetic inspirations. John loves to teach both privately and in groups and creates a safe space where learning is blast and very easy. www.johndekadt.com
