QDo you need volunteers?AWork exchange volunteers at the Caribbean Yoga Conference do not register for classes but pay a nominal fee and can participate in classes on a space-available basis when not fulfilling their assigned duties. QWhat if I need to leave early? What costs do I incur?AThe hotel does charge an early departure fee equal to one (1) night room and tax based on the group rate for the evening if you fail to inform the hotel of a change in departure and/or length of stay at the time you check-in. To avoid any charges, please make sure you communicate any changes to your stay prior to, or at, check-in.
QWho comes to the conference?AThe Conference has been specially designed to offer something for yogis of all ages, experiences and backgrounds, from brand-new beginners to seasoned teachers.
QAre kids allowed?AKids ages 7-14 are invited to participate in our CYC Kids! program. Children of all ages are invited to participate to Friday night event and Saturday night concert. The Hilton Rose Hall has an extensive kids resort program for children of all ages.
QWhat are the dates and location of the conference?AThe main Caribbean Yoga Conference will be held January 31-February 3, 2013, at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
QHow much is the registration fee and what does it include?AThe registration fee for the Conference is $395/person; however, if you register before October 15, 2012, (only 75 tickets available) you can pay an early-bird rate of $345/person. Your registration fee includes access to all the conference events, including your workshops, morning meditations, noon yoga sessions, keynote address, closing address, and evening events. Transportation, meals and accommodations are not included in your registration fee.
QWhy does my credit card statement show charges EB Caribbean Yoga Conference?AEvent Bright is the contracted company who is processing our registrations. "EB" stands for Event Bright, your credit card payment was processed by this company.
QHow do I make a lodging reservation?AYou can make a reservation with the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa by calling 866-799-3656. Please be sure to mention that you are Conference participant. Want to book online? Click here for links to a quick, easy online registration system.
You can make a pre-conference reservation with Jake’s Resort by calling 877-526-2428. Your post conference tuition includes housing and the CYC will coordinate with Jake’s Resort on room assignments.
QDo I have to stay at the Rose Hall Resort & Spa?ANo, but staying at the property will enhance your experience: You will not have to worry about transportation to and from the Conference each day, and you will have more opportunities to connect with other participants. CYC will also provide a group rate for shared shuttles from the airport. Cabs are available from airport and are approximately $20 each way.
For participants not staying at the Hilton, there will be a $75 commuter fee charged by the hotel. For security reasons, the hotel mandates that all conference participants be registered overnight or day guests. A cash bar will be available Thursday and Saturday nights.
The Commuter Fee includes lunch on both Friday and Saturday. Dinner can be purchased at the Concierge Desk. Please note, the resort is cash free so independent purchases CANNOT be made at the restaurants. A cash bar will be set up during opening night and at concert during the day there will be water stations throughout the property and freshly cut fruit will be provided after each workshop session.
QWhat do I need to bring?APlease bring a yoga mat and any props you use to practice. Some classes may require the use of props—please check the workshop course descriptions for details. You should also bring a blanket or meditation cushion if you plan to participate in our daily morning meditation sessions. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely during your practice. You may also want to bring a refillable water bottle (water stations will be available), slip-on shoes or flip-flops and sunblock!
QWhat airport should I fly into?AThe Sangster International Airport, Monetgo Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), is the closest airport to Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa.
QDo you have any discounted rates setup with any airlines?ACaribbean Yoga Conference has secured a discount starting at 5% off prices with United Airlines. Please use the offer code ZNZU772302 when booking your flights online at United.com.
QHow should I get to/from the airport to the hotel?AThe Hilton does not provide shuttle service to/from the airport. We recommend using JTL Tours Unlimited. You'll find them in the airport after claiming your luggage and clearing customs.

QWhat if I want to change one of my classes?ATo change classes please log into your eventbrite account to adjust your schedule selection. Changes made on-site will insure a $10 fee per class.
QWhat is the registration process at the event?AYou must check-in at the Registration Desk (hours will be provided in a welcome email that registered participants will receive about 14 days prior to the event start date) with photo identification or a copy of your registration. You will be provided with a conference guide and identification badge. Your badge is your ticket into your educational sessions. If you do not have your badge/wristband, you will not be admitted into the sessions. If you’re not staying at the Hilton, you will need to check-in at the Concierge Desk to purchase a Commuter Pass before registering with the CYC staff.

QCan my family join me?APlease feel free to bring your family. This year, we are proud to offer our new CYC Kids! program. The Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa offers kids’ programs, and there’s plenty of free time between program sessions available to enjoy with your loved ones. Simply make appropriate reservations with the hotel so they can accommodate your family’s needs.
QWhat is the cancellation and refund policy?AYou will have 24 hours to cancel your registration and receive a full refund. To cancel please email shawnnalea@caribbeanyogaconference.com. Your email must be sent and received within a 24 hour time frame of registering and the email must indicate clearly that you’d like to cancel, or it will not be honored. Please cc yourself on your email, as your “receipt” for your refund request, this will safeguard against any technical glitches. After 24 hours your registration is non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for any reason. Please insure your purchase with travel insurance to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances. Because we understand that emergencies do happen, if you choose to not insure your registration with travel insurance, we will allow you to transfer the name on the registration to someone else, or use the “paid price” toward a future Bella Luna Yoga event. We apologize in advance, but there will be no exceptions to this policy.
QIs there a Commuter Fee if I am not staying at the hotel? ANo, the Commuter Fee has been waived by the hotel. However, meals will need to be purchased.
