Rise & Shine: A Post-Conference Sacred Activism Retreat

The sacred teachings of yoga remind us that yoga truly comes to life in the context of relationship. This teaching is most profoundly experienced through the practice of seva, or selfless service. As we come together for our annual yoga conference, it is our genuine intention to not simply show up as tourists but also to contribute to the Jamaican community in a powerful and purposeful way. We invite you to join us on a transformative journey into the heart of Jamaica during this five-day seva-based retreat, guided by Karma Krew co-founders Scott Feinberg and Amy Lombardo. 

 

The Rise & Shine retreat supports you in integrating your yoga practice with conscious social activism, and offers you the opportunity to stretch beyond the confines of your yoga mat and directly into the heart of the Jamaican community. Each day we head into the community to participate in outreach projects that support a variety of social and environmental issues, which are an instrumental part of the lives of many Jamaicans. Together, our sangha explores the power of turning inward and reaching outward, and how when these two actions are aligned, they lead to an extraordinary heart opening both in our practice and how we show up in the world. Join us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

 

Investment: $650, not including lodging, or $1550 including lodging 

Included: group transportation, daily lunch at Jakes (off-site lunches will be packed by Jakes), and retreat programming including all off site seva activities. Lodging only if selcting the "lodging included" package. Note that the "lodging included" option must be booked by Dec 15th to secure the above discounted rate, after December 15th this rate will be availbel based on availablity.   

Not Included: Airfare is not included. Lodging is not included in the $650 package. Breakfast and dinner each day are not included.

Lodging: We suggest staying at Jakes Resort or within close proximity to maintain the retreat-like vibe. There are plenty of inexpenseive vation rentals within walking distiance which is a great budget-friendly option! Please contact Jakes resort for all lodging options. If you are booking the "lodging included" option please do not contact Jakes, we will handle your room assingments.
