The Caribbean Yoga Conference is proud to offer two scholarship opportunities in partnership with Karma Krew.
Our scholarship recipients have demonstrated a real commitment to children, education, and the Caribbean community. Each scholarship recipient has the opportunity to learn empowering yoga-related skills to bring back to their professional lives.
These scholarships are specifically open to and intended for Caribbean youth workers. Applications are reviewed by a selection committee comprised of faculty from Karma Krew, select community partners, and staff members of the Caribbean Yoga Conference.
Preference is given to applicants who are able to articulate their willingness to explore yoga and its applications to their work with youth.
Each full scholarship recipient receives:
- Full tuition for a 3-day Conference Pass
- All-inclusive double occupancy accommodations at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa, Montego Bay, Jamaica
CYC is committed to making this event accessible to all yoga practitioners so we’re pleased to offer this partial scholarship opportunity. If you think you may be qualified, please apply for a Pay-What-You-Can scholarship to join your sangha at CYC. Please note, Pay-What-You-Can scholarships are available for anyone who demonstrates financial need.
Full scholarship applications are due by Monday, November 5, 2012 and will be announced on December 1, 2012.
Pay-What-You-Can partial scholarships will be awarded in two phases, October 1 and January 15. Applications are due by Monday, September 3, 2012 and Monday, January 1, 2013 for consideration.
Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis; however the information provided in your application will ultimately play the deciding role. Please submit your application in early as there are only a limited number of each type of scholarship available.
