Being of Service to Our Community and Our World

In our effort to continue expanding yoga’s reach into the world, the CYC has once again joined forces with Karma Krew to help spread yoga’s message of love, compassion, and community to underserved populations across the Caribbean. We do this through the unique seva, or service, opportunities we offer conference participants; our scholarship programs; and micro-grant lending to promote strength and sustainability.

In our pre-conference session at Jakes Resort get familiar with how you can help spread the power of yoga to the world around around you.

Continue your community experience through on and off-site seva opportunities during the CYC Caribbean Yoga Conference at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa. During the conference make a difference through Karma Korner – our on-site, interactive station where participants can send a letter to a wounded soldier, donate unused hotel toiletries and yoga mats, plus other activities. Want to put your service in action? Join one of our off-site seva workshops.

Extend your service activities with our post conference Karma Retreat at Jakes Resort in Treasure Beach, Jamaica.

Sustainability

Help keep the yoga vibes alive outside of the Caribbean Yoga Conference. Have a Caribbean-based, community program you need supplies or financial support with? Apply for a CYC/Karma Krew Seva Micro-Grant. These grants are available year-round.

We Need Your Support

Our scholarship and micro-grant programs are partially funded through donations from our participants, yoga studios, industry retailers and other seva-minded companies. The more support we receive, the further our community reach.

If you are chosen to receive funds for your yoga outreach program, it in no way qualifies you to act as a representative of the Caribbean Yoga Conference or Karma Krew. You assume all liability and risk of teaching yoga and facilitating your program. Receipt of funds automatically releases Caribbean Yoga Conference and Karma Krew of any claims of liability related to this outreach program. Funds are required to be utilized for the outreach program for which they are awarded. Award or denial of funds does not guarantee or prevent future micro grant applications or affect eligibility of future fund dispersement. Submission of application for a micro grant is valid for one (1) year and will be reviewed quarterly for continuation or reconsideration. After one (1) year, you may submit another application for future funding.
